Four Girls Walking

"Four Girls Walking" is inspired by the much-needed positive news coverage of black children and families in urban neighborhoods that should depict them as vibrant and important to urban renewal efforts. The picture shows four girls blending in as one with their urban community, not to be removed. We see them donning newsprint trousers that possibly represent a much-needed intentionality to proactively include black images "in the news" more positively and inclusively.
